Our Founder
Amos Mao Tai Zhi, the Singaporean creator of Mao’s Oriental Ultra Light
Bone Setting Technique, is highly experienced in the manual therapy of
the spine in terms of medical practice, education, and research. In 2007
, he independently established Mao Spine and an overwhelming number
of patients have visited this clinic, drawn by Amos's reputation; their
countries of origin range from the neighbouring countries of Malaysia
and Thailand, to the faraway Australia, Europe, and America, as well
China’s Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Currently, the patients
who have sought out Mao’s medical expertise come from twenty two
different countries and areas.
In order to spread the results of his work and benefit even more people throughout the world, Amos decided to organize the results of his clinical research and practice into a book. As of the end of 2010, Mao’s debut work, Medical Miracles that You Cannot don't Believe: – The World of Mao’s Bonesetting, has already been slated for publication in Singapore.
In the interest of the the patients, Mao Spine is also considering recruiting and training more manual therapy professionals, expanding the facilities, as well as establishing branch clinics to give better service and treatment to more patients.
Amos has also established his own Bonesetting Training Center, SIMM in Singapore, and plans to train an international team of first rate spinal bone setting professionals from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, America, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, and so on, and uses it as a base to spread the fruits of bonesetting treatment research and the unique style of Chinese spinal bone setting therapy to the world.
毛泰之简介
1987年毕业于湖北中医药大学（原湖北中医学院），同年留校任教，先后在基础课部中医基础教研室、科研处气功研究室、针骨系推拿教研室从事气功、推拿的教学科研工作，并同时在湖北中医学院附属医院（现湖北省中医院）推拿科、武汉地区医学专家门诊部、湖北中医学院附属专家门诊部从事气功、推拿临床工作。后学习于广州中医药大学，为中医药双学士，广州中医药大学骨伤医学博士在籍。
1994年获聘中医讲师职称。新加坡卫生部注册执业中医师。
毛泰之先生80年代中期于陕西终南山拜师中国当代高道杜惟宏大师，精研道家内丹学术，为全真随山第三十代“祥”字辈传人，道名祥真。
1995年以后，毛泰之先生随市场经济大潮投身商界，先后出任南方证券武汉公司越南商务代表处副主任、湖北康乐医药保健品公司副总经理、武汉迪奥药业公司副总经理兼全国销售总监、武汉医药工业联合公司销售公司经理、武汉达沃斯管理顾问公司总经理等职务；并先后受委为湖北省人事厅《楚天人才》杂志社顾问、中国管理科学研究院特邀研究员、湖北省道教文化研究会常务理事、武汉市道家文化研究会副会长。
千禧年后，毛泰之先生移民新加坡，全副身心投入骨伤与手法医学的临床、教学与研究工作，出任新加坡科艺中医诊疗中心脊椎正骨顾问。在重返中医临床、精心诊疗病患的过程中，历时五年，创造性地将东方道家文化及其内丹学术与中医传统骨伤医学、现代医学、生物力学结合起来，探索、发掘出深具东方传统文化特色并具科学性与临床特效的“东方柔性正骨疗法”，在手法医学领域实现理论、技法与临床疗效的提升与突破，全面、系统地再现了在清代官方中医典籍《医宗金鉴》中有着明确记载、已失传300余年的中医正统正骨绝技。
2007年创办新加坡脊椎关节手法医学康复中心，出任主任、首席专家。2009年出任新加坡手法医学研究院院长、首席专家。先后面向新加坡、马来西亚、中国大陆及包括美国、欧洲、香港、台湾等世界各地中医师及相关专业人士开办《骨伤疾病的X光分析与手法疗法》、《骨伤疾病分析》、《家庭推拿技术》、《骨盆手法技术培训班》、《“东方柔性正骨疗法”高级研修班》等培训课程并临床带教。
先后撰写论文荣获“尚天裕科技进步奖”、“世界手法医学大会论文二等奖”、“2013香港中医骨伤学术大会论文一等奖”等。2010年在台湾整复总会举办的“2010世界整复医学学术交流大会”上受邀出任大会联合主席并获颁“现代医学杰出贡献奖”；同年受委为加拿大太e中医学院 全球专家顾问团顾问；2011年在中国天津由中华中医药学会举办的“全国中医整脊推拿学术交流会”上出任学术委员会副主任委员并获颁“全国优秀整脊推拿人才奖”。同年受委为中华脊柱论坛学术委员会副主席、中国平安医网骨伤咨询专家、华夏延龄国际医学研究院教授，并荣膺新加坡著名医疗保健杂志《Healthy Times》9月期专访人物。
2012年《人民日报》海外版发表该报记者撰写的文章：“毛泰之--不用药治病的中医”，专题报道毛泰之及其“东方柔性正骨疗法”。2013年受委为国际手法医学联合会副主席。
毛泰之先生不仅在手法理论及技术上有着深厚的造诣与重大的研究突破，在临床上，始终坚持亲自动手治疗病人。每年亲手诊疗的病患达上万人次，患者来自世界20多个国家和地区。毛泰之先生衷心希望“东方柔性正骨疗法”能为更多医疗专业人士所学习掌握，服务社会、造福广大病患。
